Service Description
**Covid-19 and social distancing during training** Please leave your dog in the car until you are directed into the training field. No one is permitted in reception and there will be a barrier in place to avoid unnecessary contact with staff. A staff member will open the gate to the training field and direct you in with your dog. You will be training in allocated training lanes which adhere to the recommended social distancing guidelines. Due to the current situations classes have been tweaked to ensure that everyone and their dogs are kept as safe as possible. There will be no off lead work during class or off lead socialisation at the end of class until further notice. At this moment in time any spectators will have to remain in your car whilst training takes place. Remember this is a very difficult situation that we find ourselves in as a nation and when mixing it up with dogs it is even trickier. However training is very important for your dog so please work with us and keep everyone as safe as possible. How old does my dog need to be? Your dog needs to be at least 12 months old before attending this class. Your dog must have the minimum of a sit/stay and recall obedience level. Dog handlers under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. What can I expect with my dog from this class? You will learn how to use each piece of agility equipment safely and correctly. You will gradually build up combinations of equipment until you can run a basic course with your dog. When you get to this point you can join the intermediate agility class. You will be taught basic handling techniques and agility terms whilst learning about drive building and motivation. What should I bring to class Do not feed your dog at least 2 hours before doing any training. Please ensure you bring with you a motivational toy and/or high value soft treats that your dog likes. Poo bags are also essential, however if you have forgotten bags or treats, you can buy them from our dog shop on site. You are responsible for your dogs behaviour at all times. Dogs can be unpredictable in their behaviour at times and although the risk is minimal that is the nature of a dog training and socialisation environment. Do not bring your dog to class if she is in season.
